The Walking Dead : What's the deal with people continuing to use sock accounts?

It's pretty late in the game to be bothering with that sh-t, and there's at least a few on this board (probably carry over from GOT, if that distinction matters).

Brave and good posters just use a single account. I've socked maybe four times in my IMDB life, and that was very briefly. My favorite was Bloated-in-Belfast (to troll hungry in conway), and Construction Danny (to troll Gigi). Oh, and Conjugal Bliss, to troll you-know-who.

Madchild420 was arguably my only "sock." That is to say; an account where the persona and prose was disguised to misdirect or otherwise sever any possible ties to a "main," though even on that one I broke character several times, and I'm probably not difficult to spot. Otherwise, I've had a plethora of accounts (sometimes simultaneously) that didn't explicitly bear my name in some form, but should've been very obvious they were me (and indeed it was, from the PMs I got - I also told anyone that asked who I was).

True. However, remember that poor Corwin said goodbye in a deeply moving thread and found he couldn't leave the board and so he came back as Rob's baby.

That's pretty hilarious I was tempted to post my own farewell a few days ago, but worried I'd be in the same boat. This place draws you in, man. Thank heavens it's going away!

I used to post my farewell once a week. It became a thing. Ballzy and I would say we were leaving forever almost every day. So I got sorta inured to the humiliation of being drawn back.
