The Walking Dead : When and why did you stop watching TWD?

I know many haven't, but I did a long time ago. I'm just curious at what point others did.

I stopped after they escaped from the sanctuary. That season was terrible. Abraham and Eugene were terrible characters. Although Abraham was slightly convincing, I was dumbfounded that any of the characters would fall for Eugene being a scientist. All of the characters seemed stupid for going along with that. They never even considered the possibility that a guy who spend most of his time looking at his shoes might not be that smart. Also, at the end of that season I realized the show and the writing was going in circles and wasn't offering anything new. Travel, hole up somewhere, form an alliance, psychotic bad guy, big fight or death at the break or season finale. Repeat.

Seasons 1 and 2 were awesome though.

I still watch it in spurtslike I'll catch up on it while doing dishes or menial work or something.

I began to actually hate it around season 3. Abraham and Eugene are actually the worst characters ever. Cheered when that fat ginger got the bat. But the thing is, all the characters are awful. I would feel nothing if any of them died. Even the ones that used to be good they slowly manage to ruin. Carol was good for a while (and the ONLY successful "character arc" they've pulled off) but from the last episode I saw, is going in that direction as well.

It's really too bad because they have some fantastically talented actors and actresses on the show (some aren't), but they can only do so much with terrible writing.

I never will. I hope to see, "Gunsmoke" longevity. I want to see Coral through his mid-life crisis! -Watchin' Maggie lean into those guard Walkers in Season 2 as she did -Like she really knew how to handle those pr1cks! The slow pan up from the tank that Rick was trapped in The final reveal in the first episode that showed the streets of Atlanta filled to the brim with walkers TOO MUCH! Carol wackin' Lizzie after she killed Mika! THAT BROKE MA HEART! I cried like a little girl. The death of Sophia and the loses of both Glenn & Abraham I will never ever stop until I become one of the undead maself!

I wish I had made that! I could do the music. I've done a very tiny bit of animation, but nothing close to what is in that video. Yeah, kids watch anything. Did you see that I have a 19 month old daughter? She watches these vids and I'm just like .

My favorite part is when the elephant runs away with the egg. Cause you know, elephants love stealing eggs!

Well, that quote is really urban legend more than anything. And don't get me started on beach boys. They are the best. I saw them (well, the brian wilson 50th anniversary pet sounds tour) last summer. Best band ever. Hands down.

Oh, in one form or another, that conversation certainly took place! Many times, I'm sure. I really started to like them when I moved to southern california. It's palpable how fitting their music is when driving around the LA area. They're geniuses. Well, Brian, at least.

it really is the worst "big" tv show out there.


I've said it a gazillion times, but the only way they know how to advance the plot is by having the characters act like retarded preschoolers and get into the most pointless trouble. that and the suspense of "who are they killing off next"

1/5 would not watch again

At the end of Season 02 or the first 2 or 3 episodes of Season 3, I can't remember exactly.

Anyway by that stage I realised that this was not a quality plot driven show but that it was going to focus mainly on the characters (with new ones popping up every now and then) in different settings (travelling from city to city), rinse and repeat ad nauseam and that the zombies were just a backdrop for what was going on like in most other zombie tv shows and movies.

I started to skip through those eps that focus on one character. Those are sooooooooo boring and add nothing to the plot. I feel like watching a season premiere and the last two eps before mid / season finale are enough without missing much.

I've continued to watch it, mainly due to a pathetic routine of masochism.
