Family Guy : Couldn't they get any famous djs to guest star?

Couldn't they get any famous djs to guest star?

Man, was yesterdays episode lame. When I saw the ads showing Peter becoming a dj I was pretty hyped for it. I was hoping we would get to hear some good EDM music. I remember a few years ago when The Cleveland Show did a rap episode where they got a lot of rappers to guest star. But, in the episode last night they just made jokes about EDM being repetitive and having no melody. I mean, don't get me wrong, I realize this is a comedy and I fully expected them to make fun of EDM, but comedy is usually better when it has some basis in reality. It's like someone came up with the idea to make Peter a dj without having any idea what djs actually do.

I think guest stars should be the last of their worries. Look at The Simpsons...

Since when did you expect reality from Family Guy? Family Guy is all about not making sense.

I did appreciate Brian making a reference to vinyl. I was really thinking that they were going to have an episode about DJing and not make some kind of reference to vinyl.

It's satire man.

How many famous DJs would the general public even know, let alone recognize their voices? DJs aren't famous for their voices after all.
I know of Skrillex (sp). I was under the impression Daft Punk are DJs but I could be wrong & there's DeathMouse, I think that's the name.
I remember the song that repeated the lyric, "Around the world, around the world". I think that was done by a DJ.
It seems to me they could have gotten the UPS man to voice a DJ, claimed he was famous & very few people would have known any better.
