I Am Not Your Negro : I'm tired of films about racism
Re: I'm tired of films about racism
But then there'd be no more black goddesses! I would weep for future generations while celebrating that I'd be living in the time of such a solution.
But then againwe're talking about human beings here. Even after everybody's offspring are brown, they'd find more things to hate about each other.
Requiescat in pace Pete Postlethwaite.

Re: I'm tired of films about racism
Yeah, human beings are pretty hopeless.
Re: I'm tired of films about racism
Black goddess is an oxymoron.

Re: I'm tired of films about racism
I couldn't agree more. I'm really so tired of all the films and documentaries on the LGBTQ agenda and any historical depictions of black people's struggles. It just gets blacks all riled up and angry about their history with the "White man" and stirs the racism pot. Why is this even necessary? We have iPhones and driverless cars already damnit!! It's done. Why can't people move on already?
Re: I'm tired of films about racism
So how do you feel about a movie like "The Wind that Shakes the Barley"?

Re: I'm tired of films about racism
One could also argue that posting this in a message board for a film you don't plan to see is also senselessly stirring the pot. Enjoy your hypocrisy, though.
Re: I'm tired of films about racism
Exactly!!!!
Re: I'm tired of films about racism
Yeah, I'm sure they're leaping at this wonderful opportunity.
Re: I'm tired of films about racism
Films about racism dies with racism.
Re: I'm tired of films about racism
Probably true. But come back to me once you're middle-aged and have seen countless films and you'll understand what I speak of. I'm also tired of Superhero films (although, who isn't?), gangster films, zombie films, etc etc
Re: I'm tired of films about racism
There are at least 400 films released every year in the United States alone. It's not like you don't have choices. But in that same vein I'm tired of white people embarrassing me by association. So, please stop.

I can give you the one thing that even the great Galactus needs!
Re: I'm tired of films about racism
As long as racism continues to be a problem in America, there will be movies about racism.

Re: I'm tired of films about racism
A paradox!
Re: I'm tired of films about racism
Yes. I'd equate it to the Israeli - Palestinian conflict. They're never going to fix that thing.
Re: I'm tired of films about racism
So in the meantime let's just pretend it doesn't exist? That's your solution?

I'm thinking it's more along the lines of, if they clinch their eyes shut and put their fingers in their ears long and hard enough, when they open them it'll all magically be gone.
No man lies so boldly as the man who is indignant.
