I'm not trying to be rude, but teenage Kate IS big. You only to perceive it to be normal because 68.5% of Americans are overweight and over 20% are obese. So, yes, she is normal, if we define normal to be something found in abundance, AND she is big.

I wouldn't say she is hugely obese, but she is chubbier girl and given the time she would have been in high school, it would have been a big issue. While society is not exactly blas about obesity, we have gotten a little more politically correct over the years. Kids in the 80's and early 90's would definitely have been cruel.

I didn't say she was hugely obese. But, the OP said she wasn't big, she was normal, and I didn't find that to be an accurate assessment of her body. She's definitely significantly overweight.

I'm sorryI didn't mean to said that. I just meant that I personally wouldn't say is near the level of obesity she is at now, but she would never have been considered anywhere near normal range back then. Sorry for the mix up.
