This Is Us : Does rebecca have a job?

She seemed very adament about not wanting to be like her mother whos sole purpose was just to be a mom and wife. And i know it changed once she had kids however she didn't strike me as the homemaker type. You just dont see her with any sort of job or career and there's no talk of it.

she had an audition for a singing gig. I don't remember is she got the job.

Thats true. Im just curious if she did anything besides that to help privide for the family. Considering how against being like her mother she was. I just thought she would be a mother that would rather go out and work a bit besides the singing she seemed to value our own identity besides from being a mother and wife. But again it was a differnt era so it could've just been social norms considering it was just starting to be common for mothers to work outside of the home.

would be a good twist if she is actually a celebrity singer who retired long ago.
