CW let Frequency and No Tomorrow run out their seasons at regular 0.2 ratings. I don't believe they have ever pulled a show before the season's end. Diversity is a big deal on the CW, basically every show is diverse. It fits right with the type of shows that succeed there. And they don't have any replacement to put in its spot, they have exactly enough shows for slots.

Even if this does flop, there's no way it gets pulled halfway through. And considering it is the most CW that can physically CW, I struggle to see a scenario where it fails.

No back 9's for Frequency and No Tomorrow leave them as near-locks for cancellation, and Vampire Diaries and Reign are already ending after this year. Cancelling 5 shows would be nearly unprecedented for them.

It basically has to be one of the biggest flops in CW history to not get a season 2.

Based on what? The premiere ratings, while unimpressive, were perfectly acceptable for CW, and they've already cleaned enough out for the season. If they're gunning to cancel something else, it's gonna be The Originals.

They can't pull it because it's a Netflix Original Series outside America. It will have 13 episodes regardless of performance, but even then, it's exactly the type of show The CW wants. They haven't dropped four lower rates series, so why would they drop this?

And if they drop it, Netflix will probably just renew it themselves.

As if. Berlanti now has 5 shows in this network with 1 more coming. WOuld CW really want to piss off that producer?

This show currently has a 67 on metacritic with over 30 reviews and CW loves its critically acclaimed show regardless of ratings

Well the past couple of years the network has renewed everything, they let Hart OF Dixie get a final fourth season despite terrible ratings instead of cancelling, granted things are different now that they have more new shows this season but I think that as long as it outdoes the some of other new shows this season, it won't go anywhere

Everyone insists on making this claim about literally every CW show.

Yet it hasn't happened once in YEARS. In fact I think they only truly abrupt cancellation they've had is Beautiful Life, way back when they first launched. It's been at LEAST 6 seasons since they've pulled a show from the air without airing all the produced episodes.

It's super cheesy and I keep asking myself at what point should I take this seriously? BUT I did pause it when I went to the bathroom or kitchen so that's a good sign. I'll watch it every week. Lol, but have any of you read the Archie and Betty & Veronica comics, cheese AF and this is playing off of them really well. I can't stop laughing, I feel this show is mocking the teen show fandom, and if that's what they are going for. It's working.
