Legion : Oh for (bleep) sake

Oh for (bleep) sake

Why give them the go ahead to do a show if they weren't going to agree on whether or not this was set in the movie universe? Also why wouldn't you want to set this in the movie universe, X-Men doesn't need to pull a DC on this one.

Re: Oh for (bleep) sake

i think keeping it separate from movie universe is better option esp when there is no chance for crossover, there can only be passing reference and i don't know what that achieves

Re: Oh for (bleep) sake

If a definitive answer would be given I wouldn't be as annoyed. But overall I don't think they need separate universes because continuity has always been something of an issue for them.

Re: Oh for (bleep) sake

They way the show is playing out so far, it could easily be completely separate from any of the movie canons. However, it could also end up tying in at some point. Either way, the show does look interesting.

Axe not gonna cut it!

Being in the same universe creates the continuity issue. Trying to tell good stories but finding oneself's hands tied because the universe is shared is where the issue is.

Re: Oh for (bleep) sake

They need to fix the continuity is my point. It's not entirely impossible to set this within the movie universe but keep it a generally separate story.

Re: Oh for (bleep) sake

There isn't any indication that's not the case.

Re: Oh for (bleep) sake

Well that's the problem, one person says one thing, and another person says another thing. So right now it seems as if neither FX or the producers know if this is set in the movie universe or not.

Re: Oh for (bleep) sake

Fox barely care about continuity in their movies, you think they're going to care about a TV show?

Re: Oh for (bleep) sake

Does the source material (comics) even care about continuity anymore?

Re: Oh for (bleep) sake

I would just treat it as a standalone show. I'm sure they'll try to tie things in later
