Vice Principals : JR Ewing all over again….
Re: JR Ewing all over again….
I would be pissed if it was Ray. Gamby just got his daughter that motocross bike since he could sense that she still wanted to do it, and after that conversation Gamby had with Ray, he realized that getting a new bike for his daughter would let Ray have his own little bond with her. Ray going on to shoot Gamby after all of that would be a lame as hell way to go for this show.
Bill Hayden is a possibility I guess. I'd say Russell and Russell's neighbor that Gamby punched are pretty major candidates, or maybe some mysterious guy that Dr. Brown hired for revenge.

Re: JR Ewing all over again….
I think it is Ray all the way, comes off like a nice guy but could be a snake in the grass ready to strike, ex wife may have something to do with it although not sure why Russels car would be torched too and how Ray would know Russel was his partner, maybe Brown burned the cars as revenge and Ray shot Gamby and they are totally unrelated. Other then that I can only think it is the neighbor Gamby punched, other teacher Gamby slept with, or someone we have never seen like a jealous brother or family member.
Re: JR Ewing all over again….
It is not Ray. Ray wouldn't have burned both cars, anyway.
Re: JR Ewing all over again….
Nope, not buying it here.

Re: JR Ewing all over again….
I can't see it being Ray. That would be a shocker. Ray and Gamby seemingly are in a good place right now. And it would go against everything that we've seen of Ray. I just don't think Ray can go that dark.
Re: JR Ewing all over again….
No way its the neighbor. The shooter was way too

Re: JR Ewing all over again….
I'm not going to try and figure it out. Since second season was filmed immediately after first season, hopefully they won't wait a long time to show it.
Re: JR Ewing all over again….
Brown's husband is a bit obvious, but it almost has to be someone who knows about the house fire you would think.
The other thought is that dark hair lady that Gamby got with before Snodgrass

Re: JR Ewing all over again….
I think it was either Brown's husband or her older son. More likely to be the older son based on body type.
Re: JR Ewing all over again….
Dr Brown's kids were so goofy and giddy you think the oldest would go off on his own and attempt to murder someone for his mother.who he didn't even want to stay with? And not to mention they left for Philly supposedly. I just don't see it. Ray either, that'd just be lame.
Re: JR Ewing all over again….
Since everyone is speculatingI think Dr. Brown hired some street thug to set fire to their cars and do the shooting. So the shooting wasn't done by any of the characters we know. I also think that Gamby and Dr. Brown will be back next season because they have too much vested in those characters.
I considered it might be a former disgruntled student who didn't like either one of them. But it was too big of a coincidence considering the timing. At first I thought it might be her older son, but I can't see him getting upset about his mother losing her job under the circumstances of her drinking and going crazy in a video. I could see him upset because their house was burned down, but since he moved away to live with their Dad I don't see them as so vested in what goes on there.
I don't think it was the neighbor across the street (the weight lifter guy) unless there is more to the story since Gamby punched him out that we don't know about.

Re: JR Ewing all over again….
I think Dr. Brown either knows some people with criminal histories or is actively seeking out ways to absolutely destroy Gamby and Russell. I'm curious how they will keep it as a vicious cat and mouse near deadly game within the time constraint of one school year. That's my best guess. That they awoken something proactively disturbing in Belinda and now it is *beep* ON.
Re: JR Ewing all over again….
Yes, we certainly saw her go wild with the gin. So there is no telling what she is capable of at this point.
Re: JR Ewing all over again….
Who the *beep* is JR Ewing?
If I don't reply, you're probably on my ignore list for something I forgot already

Ok ok, think "Who shot Mr. Burns?" then. =)

Re: JR Ewing all over again….
I guess I dated myself a little bit by starting this thread. But the JR shooting is an all time classic cliffhanger. Possibily the most famous of all time.
Re: JR Ewing all over again….
Re: JR Ewing all over again….
Sad, isn't it? One of the greatest TV cliffhangers of all-time, and people don't even know what you're talking about. It was a cultural phenomenon, people were wearing "Who Shot J.R." t-shirts all over the country.
Re: JR Ewing all over again….
"Who shot JR?" doesn't ring a bell? Sh-t, I've never watched one episode of Dallas and that particular cliffhanger aired 7 years before I was born, yet I knew exactly what the OP was referring to. Also, why not just use the Google.

Re: JR Ewing all over again….
The stats in that article are ridiculous:
"Who Done It?" was, at the time, the highest-rated television episode in U.S. history.
It had a Nielsen rating of 53.3 and a 76% share, and it was estimated that 83 million people watched the episode, more than the number of voters in that year's presidential election.
Wait a minute who am I here?

Re: JR Ewing all over again….
And for those not familiar, Russell and Gamby (maybe not as much), were pretty devious and ruthless. But, JR Ewing wrote the book.
Re: JR Ewing all over again….
Dang. You'll never see a ratings share for a regular TV series like that ever again.

I think it was Blythe Sason, dr brown right hand!
Re: JR Ewing all over again….
Quite a possibility. I totally forgot about that guy.

Re: JR Ewing all over again….
I think it's Belinda or someone paid by her.
I think she's definitely got the most motivation. She's had everything taken away from her, been publicly humiliated, she's desperate and definitely has a very dark and extreme side, especially if she figured out who burned her house down, got her fired etc. I think it's setting her up to be some kind of antagonist to Gamby and Russell in season 2.
And she's in every episode of season 2. She's not principal anymore and that's not going to change, why would she continue to stay in that area? What other pivotal every episode role could she play if it's not to go after revenge?

Let's just hope second season starts soon.
