Very similar to Anthony Zimmer..same premise, almost same dialogue, same everything.

How this movie didn't get sued for plagiarism?

It's very usual to buy the rights to make the Hollywood version, but is more frequent with TV Series like 'Broadchurch'for example.

Same with the Millenium franchise (the one from the Swedish novelist). The rights probably were boughy.

Ofcourse it is, since it's a remake. Jrme Salle, the writer and director of "Anthony Zimmer", is even credited here.
