A Street Cat Named Bob : Does 'Bob' die?
Re: Does 'Bob' die?
No, because its a true story and he's still alive in reality.
Re: Does 'Bob' die?
Bob is indeed still alive at the end- the real life Bob plays himself in much of the film, which makes me even more desperate to see it :-D
Re: Does 'Bob' die?
I assure you Bod does not die at all.
As a translator, I spend hours searching for new, interesting books to suggest for translation to the various publishing houses I work for. So, about 4 years back, while browsing Amazon I got lucky and "found" this amazing duo. Got the book, read it and decided I wanted more than anything to bring their story to the Greek public, so I contacted James, then a publishing house I was working with at the time, and in a few months the miracle was happening. I had the privilege to translate their story for Greek readers and it was my best work 'cause I loved every minute of it.
So, no, Bod does not die and I hope he will live for many more years to come. This little fella is just awesome.
Who said that angels should always have wings? Maybe from time to time they have ginger fur and four legs

Re: Does 'Bob' die?
That's lovely - well done bringing the story to Greece.
Re: Does 'Bob' die?
That's so cool! Well done on bringing Bob and James's story to the Greek market. Did the book do well over there? It must have been really hard to translate :)

Re: Does 'Bob' die?
Good old Bob is listed in the credits. So, we can safely say it's not a spoiler to acknowledge that he's alive at the end.

Re: Does 'Bob' die?
No!
thankfully this isn't 'inside llewyn davis'!! , a thoroughly miserable film .
the biggest risk with this film is Luke Treadaway & Joanne Froggatt being well & truly upstaged by a Ginger Cat ~#baftaforbob

Re: Does 'Bob' die?
They are upstaged. Bob is absolutely adorable playing himself. It's a sweet-natured, uplifting film.
Re: Does 'Bob' die?
I considered watching that considering everyone is going berserk over anything Oscar Isaac is in and they all say what an amazing movie it is but yeah, I was concerned when I heard there was a cat in it. Thanks for the useful spoiler.
Re: Does 'Bob' die?
Its hardly a spoiler, given that there have been a number of books and it has been well publicised that Bob plays himself in the film.
Who is Oscar Isaac? Is he a cat too :)

Re: Does 'Bob' die?
No. He's alive and well. He attended the premier. He's about 10.
Re: Does 'Bob' die?
Whilst watching the film, I did start to wonder "Oh no, is Bob going to die at the end?" And then I remembered reading a review that stated that Bob played himself in the film. So no, he doesn't die.
Re: Does 'Bob' die?
Not related to your question, but why did you put Bob in quotation marks? They are not necessary or appropriate in this context.
Sorry, pet peeve.

Re: Does 'Bob' die?
I'm glad I'm not the only one who worried!
Does 'Bob' die?
I can handle humans killing each other and passing away but I don't think I could watch this beautiful moggie losing it's ninth life.
