Luke Cage : Luke Cage is not Worthy of his own show

Luke Cage is not Worthy of his own show

The only great things about Jessica Jones was KillGrave and Jessica Jones.

Luke was a very bland character. Not very interesting. His story was pretty open and shut. We don't need to dig deep into his origin.

Jesus Marvel will do anything now a days and it's grating.

Re: Luke Cage is not Worthy of his own show

Can't be worse than the Snyder Superman movies.

Re: Luke Cage is not Worthy of his own show

Too bad for you but he got his own show.

Re: Luke Cage is not Worthy of his own show

His story wasn't even open...

This isn't a Jessica jones spin off... This is a comic character, with its own history, being adapted.

yeah but so is the punisher but since he started in DD season 2, people are calling the punisher series a spin off.

Re: Luke Cage is not Worthy of his own show

Punisher IS a spin-off.

Luke Cage is it's own show, it was announced at the same time as all the others and the Defenders.

It's hot... but not as hot as the night Johnny Viti got married...

Re: Luke Cage is not Worthy of his own show

Well, this was originally going to be a big screen feature with John Singleton directing. This has been kicked around for almost a decade, maybe longer.

Re: Luke Cage is not Worthy of his own show

I think in Jessica Jones they were too afraid to let him overshadow Jessica. I also heard that Melissa Rosenberg wasn't even aware of the Luke Cage show being made, so he'll probably be quite different in his own series.

Re: Luke Cage is not Worthy of his own show

Agreed! He's a cringe superhero finally Gav you're getting wiser.

Re: Luke Cage is not Worthy of his own show

You have no clue about the character, obviously. Stick to your run of the mill dramas.

Re: Luke Cage is not Worthy of his own show

I might be in the minority, but I already like him more than Jessica Jones as a character... Just based on personality. I don't like her broodiness. The show itself was good, though.

Re: Luke Cage is not Worthy of his own show

I agree, and this is what's going to do them in within the next two years. They've run out of ideas. They need to tone it down and focus on their best properties.

Re: Luke Cage is not Worthy of his own show

Um, in the past ten years, Luke Cage has been a very important and integral part of the Marvel Universe. He was involved in almost every major event and led a couple of Avengers teams. If that is not worthy of a show, then I dont know what is.

Sweet Christmas!- Luke Cage

Re: Luke Cage is not Worthy of his own show

Justifying the importance of a character like Luke Cage to a nitwit like the OP is not a good look... Ignorance and the OP make for great dance partners. Let the music play.

Mark my words, when this show premieres, you are going to eat your words.

truer words were never spoken. i agreed with the OP before this came out. the character wasn't so dynamic or magnetic in JJ. but Luke Cage, the show? best of the MCU.
