Resident Evil: The Final Chapter : RE Posters Covered in my Theater!

RE Posters Covered in my Theater!

The theater I attend has 20 screens, 10 of which they rent out to a church for their Sunday morning service 9-ish to 11:30. Coincidentally, this is the time when I usually go to the movies because the auditoriums aren't usually crowded. It was interesting to see all of the 'Resident Evil' posters covered with a white cloth when I entered the theater, but uncovered when the church-folk had long since gone.

Re: RE Posters Covered in my Theater!

that's bizarre! wow. religious zealots or overly religious easy to offend religious peoplei don't get them. covering a movie poster is ridiculous IMO. if you don't mind where (you don't have to be specific. ) in general do you live? is it overly religious like this normally?

Re: RE Posters Covered in my Theater!

I live in the midwest. Certainly nowhere near the Bible Belt! More like in the middle of the Rust Belt.

Re: RE Posters Covered in my Theater!

What kind of janky church has service in a movie theater? Wtf

Re: RE Posters Covered in my Theater!

It is an interesting set up. They have 2 services going on at once in different auditoriums. Then they simulcast those services to 2 ancillary auditoriums. 2 auditoriums for the teen service, and 4 for the childcare bit.

It stinks when I go to see a film at 11:30 and have to wait for them to tear down and cut off the house lights. Sometimes they cut it very close, especially when people get talking instead of moving with a purpose.
