Arrival : Surprised

I love Arrival. It was one of my favorite movies of last year. With all that said, I didn't think it would be an "Oscar Movie." The best picture nomination really surprises me.
It's a shame that now that it got nominated all the trolls will come out and say how it's bad and overrated.

But.I finally watched it last week before the nomination and thoughtit was bad and overrated

No it's fine if you think that. You have a different opinion and that's great. But there will be a large group of people who's main goal is to go online and bash the movie.

What's so surprising about it? It's been nagging nominations at critic shows, PGA, WGA, SAGs and BAFTA. And you are still surprised?
