War Dogs : What is so bad about making $75 an hour.

What is so bad about making $75 an hour.

Seems a little crazy, he has 4 clients a day for 300 bucks a day that is 1500 a week before expenses which that should only be like washing towels, lotion and gas. Not exactly in the poor house. If he lived 30 miles from miami odds are his rent would only be 1200-1800. He makes enough to make rent and bills in 1-1.6 weeks. Again not exactly in the poor house. And that is assuming he only has 20 clients.

I had the same thought. It's very likely that with his occupation, he probably works closer to 50 hours. If 40 of those hours are billable, he's pulling in 3k a week before expenses. If he takes 2 weeks vacation out of the year, his take for the year is 150k before expenses and taxes. That's a damn good haul.

Illusions Michael. Tricks are something a whore does for money.

Re: What is so bad about making $75 an hour.

Masseuses rarely work 50 hours a week. My friend is one and she is starting to get arthritis in her hands. She works 30 hours a week, tops.

Re: What is so bad about making $75 an hour.

Went to college around people like this, putting it politically correct and nicely. They all want to be millionaires. Money is easy for them because they all help each other out, and only each other. For example, look at all the talentless hacks in Hollywood today. It's not a meritocracy.

What was worse was, many of them were even getting FULL-RIDE scholarships despite being already rich.

Let's just put it simply. They all lived in a certain part of my state, and by the end of my first year, I learned that when anyone came up from that area, they were usually arrogant pieces of **** who were not usually well-liked. They spend all day thinking of ways to make money and have the backing to do it.

Kind of funny to see the way many working class, Caucasian Americans operate, throwing their kids out at 18, making them earn their way, while the people who really make the money and have power are all helping each other out, getting rich and have none of their morals or values, lol.

Re: What is so bad about making $75 an hour.

I don't know why any of you think he's putting in that many hours. The whole movie we've only seen one client and heard him have to cancel with another. It seems to me between his one hour massage with a client and selling sheets, he does not have a lot of clients. If he's only got one to two a day, he really isn't making all that much money. If you guys think he's put in 50 hours a week on clients you are all are insane!

Re: What is so bad about making $75 an hour.

There is zero barrier to entry to become a massage therapist. Which means there is loads of competition. Also, how many millionaires want to be massaged by a dude? (besides.you know)

He would not be working 40 hours a week. The clients probably book an hour here and there so it's not consistent and you gotta compete with pretty chicks.

The film should have highlighted that a bit more cuz if you don't think about it $75 an hour sounds like a sweet deal.

Re: What is so bad about making $75 an hour.

How do you know? He clearly was making a good living from it.

I would say more, but I don't want to be politically incorrect. This guy was looking to become super-rich, let's be honest.

Re: What is so bad about making $75 an hour.

Why are you worried about being politically incorrect?
This is the internet.

Re: What is so bad about making $75 an hour.

Yeah the movie gave some mixed messages about his finances. If they wanted him to seem broke, they shouldnt have mentioned his $75/hour rate. He probably doesnt have enough clients to make any real money, but $75/hour sounds impressive and makes it seem like he should be doing fine financially.
