HIPSTER!!! ;)
Have you ever noticed that the people who say "DC is for adults and Marvel is for kids", are kids?
Re: Well….finally saw it.
So you only liked one thing, and that merited a 6.5. Right.
Re: Well….finally saw it.
Well special effects were cool.
I liked the team (minus Kristen Wiig)
Like I said "It wasn't terrible" isn't a glowing review.
Its not like Im saying I loved it.
I can name about 20 movies that came out in 2016 that were worse.
I'll give it a 6 if that makes you feel better.

Dont taze me, bro
Re: Well….finally saw it.
Don't taze me hoe! lol! You're a born retard hahaha.
Re: Well….finally saw it.
Why does everyone hate Ghostbusters 2? It's always been my favorite of the 3 movies, by far. The first one isn't bad, and the third one is really stupid but still kinda fun. The second one is just awesome for many reasons, one of which being Vigo. It's scarier, funnier, and much more memorable (to me anyway)
Don't give up the fight for truly independent cinema!

What didn't you like about GB2?
It was a least better than GB2, but that's not saying much at all.
It was not as good as the original, but overall I thought it was a pretty solid movie. I liked how they showed the unity of the team and how they worked together. I also liked how the movie picked up several years later, where they had essentially moved on.
My biggest complaint would be that in 5 years, New York had somehow completely forgotten about the giant Marshmallowman. 9/11 happened over 15 years ago, and it's still one of the biggest things remembered in NYC.
Too bad Harold is no longer alive, 30 years later would have been a great time for another story.

They explain that in the movie. Most people would rather not know about the paranormal. The ghostbusters are the ones who have to deal with it
Re: Well….finally saw it.
That doesn't really explain it though, considering that people lived through it in the original.

Re: Well….finally saw it.
People live through a lot of things but they see it through the filter of their own biases. Thats not a plot hole
Re: Well….finally saw it.
Look everyone - it's Ruiner Jr.
Re: Well….finally saw it.
Youre only getting one reply from now, get used to it, tough guy, ready? Lets say it together: "My friend dont be a jerk"
Re: Well….finally saw it.
Are you going to start stalking egon? Follow follow like sheep lol!
Re: Well….finally saw it.
Oh good I always wanted a parrot
Re: Well….finally saw it.
No, it's stalker Jr look through my history lol! Ever since I called her a retard her pride was hurt by an evil, wicked man but the bitch wants payback!!!!
Re: Well….finally saw it.
Um who said i was a woman, you psychotic comic nerd
Re: Well….finally saw it.
Women keep grudges and insult by copying words from their abusers like "psychotic comic nerd" because of the rush of uncontrolled estrogen to their small brains.
Re: Well….finally saw it.
Lol let me guess those "attractive women" laughed in your face
Re: Well….finally saw it.
Don't taze me girl what a dumb cuckold.
Re: Well….finally saw it.
Starting to look that way, isn't it?
Look everyone - it's Ruiner Jr.
Re: Well….finally saw it.
No, it's stalker Jr stop calling my bitch that.
Re: Well….finally saw it.
I felt the Yanosh guy was cringe worthy.
I also though positive slime that made you happy was goofy.
It was mainly them riding a walking Statue of Liberty down the street was when I checked out.
There is no single movie that is universally disliked. There's always someonebut I thought Ghostbusters 2 was like Caddyshack 2 or The Hangover 2it was a just a bad sequel to a comedy and that was majority opinion.

Correct. So? It is a comedy
Re: Well….finally saw it.
Fair enough, I liked Janosz though. (He was supposed to be cringe worthy, hitting on Dana and such). He fit the SoHo artist to a T and he was more of the physical comedy in the movie. The era kind of fit that style as well.
I felt the Yanosh guy was cringe worthy.
I thought that was a little strange too, particularly that they were able to somehow isolate the positive slime and have so much of it on hand.
I also though positive slime that made you happy was goofy.
I think overall it gets a bad rap though, and the courthouse scene was one of my favorites of the entire franchise.
Re: Well….finally saw it.
You and I felt the same way. The controversy was waaaaay overblown (and continues to be apparently judging from the trolls on this board), it just wasn't funny enough.
Its unfunniness felt decidedly gender neutral.
The greatest trick God ever pulled was convincing the world that He's good.

Re: Well….finally saw it.
It was a least better than GB2, but that's not saying much at all.
People still remember certain scenes from GB2, like the Statue of Liberty scene, fondly even now 28 years later.
Tell me what scene from AtC will come even close to that level of fame?
Censor Censorship!
Well….finally saw it.
It was OK. Just OK. It was a least better than GB2, but that's not saying much at all.
The secretary guy being stupid was not funny. They made him so stupid that its amazing he knows how to breathe. It was lame.
And a lot of the humor was stuff that makes you roll your eyes, do nothing, or at best go "heh". No big laughs.
I was, however, expecting a lot of "girls rule boys drool" feminist stuff in the movie because that was a major complaint, but there really wasn't any. There was a joke at the end about warning lights being for guys but that was it.
They made everyone on the movie stupid or insane no matter what gender. It wasn't like there were these competent women surrounded by idiots which is what some people made it out to be.
If anything the only thing I liked was how the bad guys machines would pull ghosts from the other side. It made sense (wellmovie sense) in explaining why no one has ever seen a ghost and now they are all over NYC.
I give it a 6.5 which is a shame.
