Westworld : Any Person of Interest fans watching this?
Re: Any Person of Interest fans watching this?
Not a fan, but POI wasnt annoying to me, had decent coherent arcs per season. No, not the same, Man is in the woods Bambi, get dressed, is the drift. You decide, the Nolans have stated its not for everyone..
Re: Any Person of Interest fans watching this?
It feels a bit like the episode 6741 stretched into an entire season with the brainwashing lasting way longer, the violence and body trauma much cruel, the sex more explicit (although, I don't think that this is a very sexy show), the science even more confusing and poorly explained, some of the character interactions even more over the top melodramatic.
6741 depending on who you'll ask is the best or the worst episode of TV ever made and Westworld is also a polarizing show. You can argue that it is a deep, surreal, artistic exploration of the human mind. You can also argue that this scientific, surreal mambo jabo is just an excuse to torture the characters any way possible and than have them look amazing when they appear half-(or fully) naked in the next scene.
Compared to POI, this show is a complete downer. It's so nihilistic and misanthropic, it feels like a show made by Samaritan but the visuals are amazing. Very few theatrical movies look this good.

My biggest problem with WW is that most of the human characters make asinine decisions, completely opposite what Finch and his team would do.

WTF????
Re: Any Person of Interest fans watching this?
I suppose not everyone is familiar with the Disney animated classic of Bambi (1942), where the only threat to woodland creatures is man. The analogy is similar; evil humans=bad, naked innocent robots=good. BBCs Humans isnt far behind in convicting a human for crimes against robots either.
