call Derek in the elevator? She knew it was him because she has seen him before so why did she have to call him and hang up just to have him call her back and get herself busted. That part always bugs me.

She hadn't seen him before, that was the first time they had a face to face encounter. Previously, she had only ever spoken to him by phone.

I wonder why she hadn't thought of redial. Wouldn't her cell phone have it too? I guess not. And she was in a panic after Derek was pressing redial just trying to get the phone out to shut it off.

She didn't see him. She had heard his voice and on a phone it can sound different than when you hear it it person. She also might not have caught his face when she was in the cab. She was hiding from him, so she wasn't trying to get a good look at what the guy looked like.

what i don't understand is why she felt the need to give derek his own ringtone so she would know not to answer. does anyone actually answer their cell phone without checking the caller id first?

Yeah that made zero sense. I know people who type in "DON'T ANSWER" so it shows up on the caller id, but never a ringtone.

Maybe hers didn't have that. Similar to the redial comment I made earlier.

She should have turned off her caller ID before calling him then he would not have been able to call her back cause her number would not have shown up in his phone, if your trying to avoid someone calling them is not smart and leaving your caller ID is just plain stupid!!
