Yeah. they never did mention it. But the second ghost was his assistant who was still alive. So maybe she did not die. it was not important really

Yeah the whole "ghosts" part of the movie was rather epic fail. The only ghost was his uncle and no one even knows who the broad at the end was. I liked the movie but they really didn't iron out the plot/title too well. Either that or Hollywood's becoming waayy too lazy.

i think the ghosts were of the relationships and not the people in them. Plus its was a fantasy kinda morality play so they take poetic license.

yeah none of them actually died. i dont think they explain that in the movie. they were just there to show him how big of an *sshole he's been.

Except at the end when Uncle sleazeball was hitting on the first gf/ghost, she said "Eww, I'm like 16!" and he says "We're ghosts honey, we're ageless!" or something. So

She said something along the lines of "I died a long time ago" or "I'm dead now" or something like that so she was definitely the ghost of her dead self. As to how, it wasn't explained.

i thought the ghosts were just the epitome of his girlfriends at the time. i was under the impression that it was all a dream/hallucination, i don't recall hearing 'I died a long time ago', but if she (the first girlfriend) did say that, she might have been referring to his past girlfriend experience, rather than an actual person.

Has no one ever seen "Scrooge"? The whole ghost thing is a metaphor, they are not really ghosts. And, no, she did not say she died a long time ago. She said Ewww. I'm only 16.

i dont thinks so. actually she could be dead or alive. the ghosts werent actually those people, just a form of them not really that complicated.

Well in my case I only watched this thing for Emma Stone, i personally could care less about the horrible plot.

She says something along the lines of, "Oh my God, Conner Mead remembers my name!! I can die now! Just kidding." I don't think anybody except Uncle Wayne was actually dead. She's stuck at 16 because that's the age at which Conner remembers her. It's probably best to conceptualize these "ghosts" as subconscious devices.

For the movie, the term "ghosts" doesn't mean "materialized spirits of the deceased", it means "memories".
