Bummer...I liked Lumpy. One of many well-written and likable characters on that great show.

Re: Lumpy from Leave It To Beaver dies at age 71

I loved the episode where Eddie and Wally chained Lumpy's car to a tree. When Lumpy pulled out of the driveway, his rear axle came off the car.

Mr Rutherford: "Clarence! You instigated this? Then you stay here and help these lads fix your car!"

Wally: "Please sir, don't make Lumpy help us."

Mr Rutherford: "Oh, yes, I see what you mean."

Mr Rutherford: "Oh, yes, I see what you mean."

LOL...I watch reruns every morning and saw that not long ago.

I never think of Lumpy as a real bully.....

A little late...but RIP Frank Bank.

I had the chance to work with Michael Jackson who was as brilliant as they come.

Another Lumpy moment:

Beaver: "Hey look, it's goofy Lumpy!"

Lumpy: "My name is Clarence!"

Beaver: "Hey look, it's goofy Clarence!"
