The Mick : Finally a TV Comedy that doesn't try to be politically correct!
Re: Finally a TV Comedy that doesn't try to be politically correct!
I KNEW there was a reason I liked this series. That's it! I HATE PC!! And you're right, it IS for wimps and pussies!
Schrodinger's cat walks into a bar and doesn't.

My favorite part of the show is how little it gives a fck. I don't know how long it can go before the premise starts to get kind of stale since we have seen this story so many times before.
Re: Finally a TV Comedy that doesn't try to be politically correct!
The Grandmother slapping the children.
The Grandson fantasizing about killing his grandfather by drowining him in the bathtub.
You won't find that in other sitcoms on ABC or NBC or CBS.

Re: Finally a TV Comedy that doesn't try to be politically correct!
This show is like an anti-family comedy It's risky and not afraid to be so The polar opposite of any of the PC garbage you see on ABC. I love it!
Re: Finally a TV Comedy that doesn't try to be politically correct!
"Finally"?
There have always been shows that try to be anti-PC. It's just that THOSE shows.had more substance, were actually clever.and didn't push boundaries JUST FOR THE SAKE of pushing boundaries. All in the Family. The Jeffersons. Archie Bunkers Place. Married w/ Children. The Family Guy. Jackass..etc, etc, etc.
The Mick is SO CONTRIVED..
Nobody acts like that, no people talk like that. Those situations are not realistic. The show is getting undeserved points.JUST for being vile and seeing just how far they can push the boundaries. The situations and lines are set-up like bowling pins, and delivered in such a "See how un-PC and edgy we are" awareness that there are people out there (the same slack-jawed mouth-breathers who Tivo Duck Dynasty) who will fall for it. Suckers.
This low-rent garbage will gone. Soon. But hey, there's always Redneck Wedding Fiascos, on DSC.
"Finally"??
Pppppffffft!

That's a long time ago and even Family Guy and The Simpsons that were at one time funny for being non PC are PC nowadays.
Jackass is NOT a sitcom and even if you counted it, it ended its run 14-15 years ago.
I am talking about NON PC Sitcoms in the last couple of years on NETWORK TV; there hasn't been any NON PC TV Sitcoms on NETWORK TV in the last couple of years or longer.
Re: Finally a TV Comedy that doesn't try to be politically correct!
It's pretty true that this is just an It's Always Sunny, polished up to be network TV ready. It's not much more than a Bad (Santa, Teacher, Grandpa, etc) Aunt (Uncle Buck) that is toned down just enough not to offend too many people. Kaitlin is great as Sweet D, which carries over to this series, but the rest of it is just the same old rote nonsense. Surprising, considering the writers were connected to IASIP. They must have been shown their place when creating this one, and told that children must be written as little treasures. Kaitlin is the ONLY character that shines in this everyone else drags it down.
Animated series get away with much more simply because you can suspend reality, but this is nowhere near as clever as Married With Children in its first few years.

Please tell me you did not just call Family Guy clever. American Dad and South Park are clever. Always Sunny is genius. Family Guy is the stupidest show on television.

Re: Finally a TV Comedy that doesn't try to be politically correct!
Okay, it's time to retire "PC" this and "politically correct" that. Enough! That being said, it amuses me that the conservative activist groups have their panties in a wad again over a tv show, and this time it's not because it has a gay person in it. The Parents Television Council must want to blow their brains out over this. Everyone has cable. What's the big deal? "The Mick" could be a show on basic cable. It's no different. No one simply has basic channels anymore. And yes, we know, we're all going to hell in a handbasket. Family values and all the baloney. What's happened to the moral fabric of society? "Won't somebody please think of the children?!" Yadda yadda yadda. *snore* The show is funny. These groups/trolls have been losing their s-it over "The Real O'Neals" since it came on the air, now it's this show.
Re: Finally a TV Comedy that doesn't try to be politically correct!
I hate PC culture too, but you sound moronic. There is plenty of non-pc comedy out there if you look for it, and most people aren't overly pc. Yes, there is a vocal fringe section of the population that will be perpetually offended by everything, and the media oftentimes does try to appease that vocal minority, but that's been going on for a long time and there is still plenty of stuff out there that doesn't cater to those people.

Yes! Please. Anti-PC can be as annoying as PC people. By all the talk about this show being anti-PC you would think there's a racist joke every 5 minutes. Geez Just enjoy it for what it is. Don't try to make it into a bastion of anti-PC comedy.
