John Wick: Chapter 2 : Who is more "Badass"?
Re: Who is more "Badass"?
John Wick without a shadow of a doubt. He would kill them all easily.
Re: Who is more "Badass"?
Someone replied with Col. John Matrix from "Cammando". It's an interesting choice, but I though that one went back a little to far, another era in a manner of speaking.
Re: Who is more "Badass"?
Exactly, otherwise you would have to include a lot more people. Bruce Willis and Sylvester Stallone and a lot more.
Re: Who is more "Badass"?
My brother came up with a humorous choice from the past too, Topper Harley, from "Hot Shots! Part Deux" (1993)
Re: Who is more "Badass"?
Haha! Charlie Sheen would blow them all away!
Re: Who is more "Badass"?
I love John McClane, but Willis would get his ass kicked by Bourne, Bond, Wick, Hunt, Neeson, etc.. John McCalne was a tough cop and he was great a guerilla warfare in big buildings and airports, but Wick, Bond, Frank (transporter), Bourne are all trained killing machines.
Re: Who is more 'Badass'?
Transporter has the Martial Arts but using that and firearms Wick probably edged out Bourne slightly.
Re: Who is more 'Badass'?
All posses lethal martial arts skill. Hard to pick the best fighter, I would have to say Bourne, the man is a beast when it comes to hand to hand. I'd favor him against Wick in martial combat only.
However, Wick's skill with firearms are far beyond anything that the others can even dream to achieve. He is legendarily elite, the boss of bosses. In a battle with guns, Wick wastes them allno contest.
I also failed to mention that Wick utilizes "gun-fu" much better than the others. He is able to engage in physical combat while still using firearms and does so with great efficiency.
The only way I see the others beating Wick is if they ambush him fast and kill him within 10 seconds. Wick is a man of focus, commitment and sheer fcking will!

Bourne would kill them all without question.

Re: Who is more 'Badass'?
Bourne sems as much like an android as like a man. also, he's enhanced, a bit like a mutant.
Re: Who is more "Badass"?
Keanu Reeves as John Wick
But John Matrix from Commando kicks everyone's ass.

Re: Who is more "Badass"?
A good choice but I would consider that from another era. I meant something more current, say in the last 15 years.

Re: Who is more "Badass"?
Very Good choice! Do you think he and his brother were in that crowd in the park at the end of the movie, when Winston temporarily called off the hit on Wick?
Re: Who is more "Badass"?
Of these choices I'd probably have to put Frank Martin last since the Transporter movies are PG-13 and as such he's just not as hardcore as these other guys. As a driver he is probably the best, although Bourne is pretty nuts in the chase scenes. His martial arts are more along the line of "beat guys up" rather than "kill everyone in sight" but again it's a PG-13 series.
It's hard to compare someone like Bourne to Wick since a lot of the Bourne stuff that people remember are hand to hand fights. If Wick could keep his distance he could easily shoot Bourne, but in a hand to hand fight it would probably be a toss up (maybe slight Bourne edge).
I think McCall has almost too much of a moral code to really be as dangerous as these other guys. His friendship with the girl also might be a weakness. Mills is about as hardcore as a PG-13 action hero can get, but at the end of the day he's a bit older than guys like Bourne or Wick.
Basically of these choices it comes down to Bourne or Wick.

Re: Who is more "Badass"?
You brought up a very good point, that I never even thought of. The rating of the movie probably had a direct effect on the violence and therefore the body count. The only time the violence of gun play that wouldn't effect the body count would be episodes from the TV show "The A-Team". A million bullets fly during those episodes. but no one gets wounded or killed.
As for McCall, I would call him a lethal "MacGyver".

Who is more "Badass"?
Is it
Denzel Washington as Robert McCall in "The Equalizer".
Matt Damon as Jason Bourne in any of the "Jason Bourne" movies
Liam Neeson as Bryan Mills in any of the "Taken" movies
Jason Statham as Frank Martin in any of the "Transporter" movies
or
our boy Keanu Reeves as John Wick?
