A Dog's Purpose : People voting a 1 before seeing the movie are fine to do so

People voting a 1 before seeing the movie are fine to do so

Expressing a political disdain for how the movie was made - the abuse of a dog - is rating the movie. If there was a real life rape or snuff or child abuse or countless other methods used to craft a film, it would matter how the public values that product. The value placed in a movie's rating is subjective. As a purest and from my own opinion, I would want to see the film before rating it. But I'm not seeing it because I won't support it.

Don't get it twisted though. This is not the same as rating a Tyler Perry movie 1 without seeing it or any other racial bias. That is sickening, childish and wrong. This is the movie equivalent of social protest. It sends a message. It will not discourage those that want to support the movie, it will encourage dialogue on the treatment of animals for profit purposes. Simply ignoring the issues or, as the producers want you to do, abstain until they release the facts - after the premier, just gives more validity to what they tried to get away with. Had that camera not been rolling and someone reported the abuse of the dog, imagine how they would have been vilified and had their credibility destroyed. There were many responses the producers could have taken so instead of asking why it took a year and half for someone with an agenda to release footage. Ask why the producers did not step in when the event happened and diffuse the bomb before it went off.

Except that the morons "protesting" this movie are doing so based on lies and deceit, just like the idiots who support BLM.
