Tim,

I just watched 'shattered'. It was interesting. I can tell you put a lot of effort into it. The music was good too, is it an original score?

I have a question though. When the lady with the baby comes to the door does that mean there is a trend taking place now with people whose cars have broken down etc. coming to his apartment (for some reason) looking for help or a phone? I'm guessing this is because his family was killed in a car accident? Let me know, I'm curious.

Re: my short film... shot in Shanghai

Hi there,

Thank you for the post.

- No, the music is not original score. A friend of mine introduced Mr. David Beard's music to me, and I immediately found it was the right tone and emotion I was looking for. So I wrote him an email, explained my vision on the short, he granted me the right to use his existing pieces very soon. He is credited as “music by”, instead of “original score”.

- The script implied the male victim was the husband of the lady with the baby in the very end of the film. The whole story suppose to happen in a remote area, where the persona has no way else but to seek help, and then come to the main guyÂ’s door. I had very little time for prep and no money to my first film, so I hadnÂ’t depicted this in the film. ItÂ’s a SHAME. In the very first draft of the script, the main guy was a serial killer, where there was a dolly shot indicating THEY had killed some of the drivers passing by the area, the wife survived in the car accident.

- Yes, the guyÂ’s family was killed in a DUI Hit and Run accident. Yet the film doesnÂ’t imply the victim has anything to do with the accident happened before.

It was my first film, no budget (somewhere EURO 150), kind of crappy, but I hope my next one could be better.
