Re: Radio Times Winners

That's great! Thanks for posting. Of course, I figured Aidan would win if the comments were any indication. I couldn't find anything on that website about Eleanor and Gabriella. Did they get their own awards, too? I never heard of an opportunity to vote for them.

Re: Radio Times Winners

You just had to hit "previous" at the bottom of the page. Each page has a winner. The show won as best drama too. Yes Eleanor and Gabriella both won too.

Re: Radio Times Winners

Thanks! I didn't see those tiny buttons. Old eyes, doncha know. How great they all won in those categories. To have both stars of Poldark and the show itself win all those top awards is pretty darned special, seems to me. And then Gabriella winning Best Newcomer on top of it! They all should be very proud.

Re: Radio Times Winners

Plus, the final award was for "Star of the Year", which was given to Aidan along with his Star for a Drama Series. Terrific for all involved in the show because everyone contributed to the success, especially the horses and the cliffs!!

Re: Radio Times Winners

That's very cool! Do you have a link with this information? I looked on the site and couldn't find anything about that "Star of the Year" award. Thanks!

Re: Radio Times Winners

Hi, Wendy.

Poldark was voted the "Best Drama of the Year" (over the Night Manager) at #13:

And Aidan was voted "Star of the Year" (over Kit Harrington) at #15:

Re: Radio Times Winners

Thanks! Another great picture of Aidan, I see. He sure has a bunch of 'em. Somehow I missed getting to the 15th page.

I have no idea how important this contest is, but I'm really happy they all won and the show, too.

Re: Radio Times Winners

Radio Times awards are not really important, its just a mag giving you a list and times of the TV viewings. Surprised its still going. Its like a Teen mag really where you can vote for 'boyband of the year' etc. Still nice to win although he a tad lucky to beat the bloke from The Night Manager.

Re: Radio Times Winners

The Radio Times might just be a TV listing magazine, but it's the oldest and most respected of it's kind. Its articles are always interesting and well-researched. I wouldn't buy anything else. If it's ever discontinued in the future, I'll just go without.

Re: Radio Times Winners

Do you really think it had to do with luck? I tried to watch The Night Manager and couldn't get past the first episode. I may watch it eventually, but it sure didn't grab me like Poldark did. Nor did its star. Just sayin'...
