Re: Throwback Thursday of Beatie Edney
Wow! Hardly recognized her! Beautiful or should I say Beatie-ful. 😉

Catchy!
I could tell it was her but much younger.....very pretty.
Re: Throwback Thursday of Beatie Edney
Remember her in a few things when she was younger, at least she aged naturally and not obsessed with looking 21, her Mom, once a great beauty aged naturally too.
Re: Throwback Thursday of Beatie Edney
Yes, she was beautiful just like her mum. Mind you, Sue, I think Sylvia Syms probably "let herself go" a little too much, but that's probably me being a little unkind.
I think Beatie is padded out quite a bit for the role of Prudie, but I could be wrong.
If there aren't any skeletons in a man's closet, there's probably a Bertha in his attic.

I think you're right - more so, it seems than last season. Phil is too.
No Gimletts in both Old and New?
Re: Throwback Thursday of Beatie Edney
Probably let her self go a little too much but prefer that attitude than the starving, strectched face attitude a lot have.
Re: Throwback Thursday of Beatie Edney
I have an old Dickens DVD with her, Hard Times.
Re: Throwback Thursday of Beatie Edney
Try seeing her in Highlander or Dark Angel/Uncle Silas with Peter O' Toole.
Re: Throwback Thursday of Beatie Edney
Did you see this one of her with Alan Rickman in the stage version of Les Liaisons Dangerueses? (I still think they should have used the original stage casting!) Edney played Cécile de Volanges, the Uma Thurman role seduced by Rickman's Vicomte de Valmont.
