We Are Still Here : Wat…

Wat…

This movie HAS A 95% CERTIFIED FRESH RATING on rottentomatoes.com, so, as a horror fan, I was absolutely intrigued. I mean, we're talking about a score thats 3% lower than the modern horror masterpiece, Let The Right One In. Now I love me some Grade A, low-budget Horror. I also love odes to old-school, schlocky, 80's B Movie horror movies like the 80s classic, Re-animator.

I felt like MAYBE that's what this film was going for? I'm not really sure. The lack of any substantial characters, poor acting, and plethora of unintentionally hilarious lines/line readings made it hard to tell.

Now, obviously, horror fans on imdb have already made their displeasure with this movie apparent, what with the (fitting) score of 5.7. My question to everyone, is what was the disconnect between horror fans and major film critics? Did we miss something?

Re: Wat…

I made just over $200 last week at my job, only worked a couple days. I'd heard great things about it when I was hired, but now I'm really dissatisfied.

Then to top it off I went home and watched this movie and hated it. Really overrated by critics and even some friends. I thought it was ludicrous. Horrible acting. I think the critics get a percentage of the profits maybe.
