The Lobster : Not funny at all

Not funny at all

I noticed the filmmakers tried to put some humor into this, but I didn't find it funny. The comedic timing was way off and the jokes were so basic. Did anyone actually think this was funny?

Re: Not funny at all

No, and I have an open range of comedies. But this did nothing for me.

Re: Not funny at all

i thought many scenes were funny and laughed, mainly at the absurdity of it all.

Re: Not funny at all

Kind of the same here. Every so often I would smile so very slightly, chuckle under my breath and think WTF am I still watching this. I then continued to the end.

Re: Not funny at all

The one scene I thought was funny was when the little girl tried to give Colin Farrel a hug and he kicked her in the shin and said "now you have a limp like your father".

Re: Not funny at all

I agree, Grey. That was the ONE part of this dreadful film which was funny.

Re: Not funny at all

You spend a lot of time on the message board of a movie you didn't like. You must lead a very exciting life.

Re: Not funny at all

Jcl2,
I enjoy ripping really awful movies like this piece of dog crap, and warning others not to waste their time and money.

And since you mentioned it, I'll let you decide if I lead an exciting life.

I've been to all 50 states (not 58 as Obama thinks), and 25 other countries. In the Fall
of 2015 I visited Scotland and Ireland. In Dec 2015 I witnessed the Aurora from Coldfoot, Alaska, which is 60 miles above the Arctic Circle. The temperature at night reached 40
below 0.

In Oct I was on a trip to London, Paris and Cannes. In Jan I will attend the inauguration of Donald Trump in Washington DC. In Feb I'll go to Vegas and then climb the Eureka Dunes in Death Valley, and the Kelso Dunes in the Mohave Desert.

In May I'll go on my fourth Storm Chasing Trip in Tornado Alley. I have personally witnessed 29 tornadoes. In July I'll visit Kenya and Tanzania in Africa. That will bring the number of countries I've visited to 27, and the number of continents to five. I still need to make it to Australia and Antarctica.

In addition I'm a certified Scuba Diver and hold a Brown Belt in Tae Kwon Doe (Korean Karate). I've been para sailing, para gliding, hang gliding, and ridden in a powered parachute vehicle. I've also ridden in a WW I biplane. In Spring I will resume my Ultralight flying lessons.

So yeah, I guess you could say I lead a pretty exciting life.

How about you?

Re: Not funny at all

What a sad person you seem to be.

Re: Not funny at all

I concur with that statement! Complex anyone?!? AND I'm sure Obama caused it too! LOL (SMH)

Re: Not funny at all

Your responses are laughably stupid.

Re: Not funny at all

LOL, thou protests too much. We see right thru you and every one of your posts it's like you're sceaming, "I am not getting enough attention in my life" and also "I am so immature and have such a limited basic sense of thinking that I can't possibly understand conceptual art -- oh, and I hate Obama!"

Re: Not funny at all

I laughed at how absurd the situations presented were and some of the concepts. Didn't laugh at the dog scene and that crazy Hunter lady.

Re: Not funny at all

I laughed quite a bit. Probably the most at the woman lying on the ground in pain after trying to kill herself. As I type that I realize it doesn't sound funny at all, but it really was.

Re: Not funny at all

The only thing I laughed at was when Colin kicked the little girl and told her that now she had a limp like her father. NOTHING else was funny.

Re: Not funny at all

Really? What about the limping man slamming his face into the table? Or David explaining his plan to Rachel Weisz's character by verbalizing their secret code? "I turn to the left, I raise my right arm, I lie down", etc. And then she says, "Are you really willing to do that"? I found those scenes and plenty others pretty funny.

Re: Not funny at all

Nope. Sorry. Not funny.
