The End of the Tour : Absolutely tremendous

Absolutely tremendous

This was a very well directed film in all aspects. This is the gem of the year 2015. It definitely has a shot of adapted screenplay and it absolutely deserves it.

Segel was excellent too by the way. I now must seek out Infinite Jest.

Re: Absolutely tremendous

Maybe I need to watch it again

Re: Absolutely tremendous

Completely agree, Bbonds. Not often is a dialogue driven film so compelling from beginning to end. I just watched it and could easily put it on again. Everything these two guys talked about was interesting.

And yes, Segel's performance was unlike anything he's done before. Eisenberg, while good, kept letting those Jesse speaking mannerisms creep in...

Re: Absolutely tremendous

I'm so glad that I finally got to see this film, having heard 'the word' about it for months. Jason Segel thoroughly deserves his nomination for Best Actor In the Independent Spirit Awards - as does Donald Margulies for Best Screenplay. It's such an understated piece. Dialogue-driven, heavy with subtext. Segel is so interesting to watch. It also reminded me a little of Inside Llewyn Davies - the pace, the ambience.

Cool.
