Empire : Lucious is toxic

Lucious is so awful, he is completely narcissistic and has no idea what real love is. He hates his sons.
He has no redeeming features. Do others agree?

I've been saying this for a while. They need a "who shot Lucious?" Cliffhanger.

He truly acts as if he despises his entire family. Season 3 Lucious seems kind of different from season 1 Lucious. In season 1, although he had harsh edges, it seemed that he gave a flip about his children. He seemed more loving in a way. But maybe that was just his fear of dying coming out.

They need to show that Lucious is still a human being. Nobody wants to tune in week after week to see a sociopath terrorizing his family.

To the point that I literally cringe when he enters a scene! Damn, I hope Cookie doesn't backside to this fool.

Honestly can't think of a character I've had such a hate-on for.

I agree, 1st season he seemed somewhat okay. atleast he somewhat cared about his kids. now he's all about money and power and doesn't care and wants to destroy his owns kids. just terrible. wife, okay, understanble. but kids. come on. that's crossing the line.

and as far as worse character in tv. i can think of two. kvin spacey in house of cars. corrupt as hell. and killed people to become president. 50 cent in power. killed his own son. that's about it though. i'll give lucious a break cuz he hasn't yet completely destroy his kids or kill family. YET> lol.

Lucious has shown his true self over the seasons. In S1 it was all about him dying of ALS or something like that, so he kind of garnered some sympathy then. He was trying to mold one of his son's to take over his company and although he was mean to Jamal and Andre, overall he wanted desperately for one of them to take over his company.

In S2 he was free of ALS and he knew he wasn't dying anymore. That's when his narcissistic behavior really kicked in. He now was in charge again so everyone else be d@mned. I think he treated his boys the worst in S2.

Lucious has really gone over to the dark side and I wish the writers could show how much he truly cares for his family. He tries though but with Lucious, it's so difficult to show some kind of caring except with Cookie.

His mother must have done a number on him. The street life didn't help either.

Agreed. Always sabotaging other people's relationships for his own gain. He reminds me of Sammy from Days Our Of Our Lives.

He is the character u love to hate but even though luscious is awful man, its still something quite intriguing about him that makes still like him.
