IMDB is shutting all boards down. So, that sucks.

I enjoyed this hangout.

I come to IMBD to read about every show I watch, mostly just post about The Middle. So convenient. Now I have to go to every FB page of every show to discuss and or learn, review shows? Nope. I have some time to "waste", but not that much.

It's a good site. I started looking for alternatives to IMDB a few months ago and came across it in my search.

Unfortunately the Sitcoms site isn't phone friendly. I use IMDB on my phone. Is anyone aware of a good alternative that is phone friendly?

Sitcomsonline SUCKS. People haven't posted on The Middle board in months. To say it compares to the IMDB is just stupid.

Maybe this explains why the ratings on a show's homepage can be high while the consensus of the message board posters for the same show is something like "It should have been cancelled last season!"

Nobody cares about the message boards, that much is obvious. It's just a pain in the ass for them, and they've decided to get right of them. Why should they put up with all that bull?

It's DUMB posts like this that doomed the IMDB message boards. I checked out that link, and if you're insinuating that nobody-1 is me, you're either an idiot, a moron, or a combination of both. Next, you'll be saying I'm Gubbio and "A New Hope." Get a different song and dance because this one wore out a long time ago. That guy sounds NOTHING like me at all.

For IMDB to make this decision, they must have arrived at the conclusion that message boards like this have a fatal flaw: they end up with a high concentration of abusive posters - even if they are all just one person. I don't know why IMDB allows people to have multiple accounts, but yuckyflappy has assured us it's not against the rules. As long as that's the case there will be people who will do it to create artificial activity, play good cop bad cop, and draw in unsuspecting people who only came to discuss. In time most of those people will leave and the result will be a higher concentration of abusive posters.

It reminds me of the way uranium is enriched.

It also points to the need to be able to identify people absolutely, which is what leads to the mark of the beast.

God, are you a troll, or what? You're spamming the boards with the same insipid message, over and over. That is AGAINST IMDB RULES, YOU NITWIT.

Everyone is jumping to the conclusion that the boards are closing because of trolls.

Frankly, I don't think Amazon gives a rat's ass about trolls. If they did, they would have done something about it long ago.

I believe MONEY is behind the closing. If this place was a "money maker" for them, they'd keep it open. We're all here for FREE, and I don't even see ads, because I use an ad-blocker.
