Star Wars: The Force Awakens : Letter from alleged Death Star attacker Luke Skywalker

Letter from alleged Death Star attacker Luke Skywalker

Letter from alleged Death Star attacker Luke Skywalker finally reaches Coruscant

At the Imperial Palace, Emperor Sheev Palpatine received an unusual piece of mail: a letter from accused Death Star attacker Luke Skywalker.

Officials confirmed that the letter arrived at the Palace to CBS News, but are declining to provide further details.

Skywalker is a wanted man, having the death sentence on 1,000 systems, accused of planning and orchestrating the attack that killed over one million people on the Death Star, near Yavin.

The Coruscant Times, which first reported on the letter, says it was written in 1977, and was only delivered after a judge ordered reluctant Tatooine officials to put it in the mail.

The Times reports Skywalker “wrote to Palpatine in 1977 about ‘Rebel oppression at the hands of the Empire in general and on Tatooine in particular,’ his lawyer Vanee said then.

He also shares his views on what happened on Tatooine during the period of Imperial sanctions and ‘events on Jedha and Scarif’”

The Empire’s chief war crimes prosecutor, Army Brig. Gen. Maximillian Veers, reportedly did not want the letter delivered, saying it amounted to propaganda.

The terrorists and radicals always have to take credit for the damage they cause.

Oppression of Rebels by the Empire? Some would say an exaggeration because the Empire believes that they have to crack a few eggs in order to maintain security and peace.

Rebels:

The only solution here is to build a wall to keep the radical Jedi out of our system.

It makes me sick to my stomach to think how that foolish boy released the treasonous Leia Organa. She's no princess! I hear she's seeking asylum in Cloud City.
