I know its a bit of an wide question, but please, give me some suggestions. I have seen already tons of movies but who knows someone here knows a gem I haven't seen yet.

Oh, and no sci-fi movies, I don't like those. Sorry.

Re: Movies I need to see RIGHT NOW!

Thanks, I'm sure I will enjoy some of these.

Re: Movies I need to see RIGHT NOW!

Hi, sgtpowers.

If you like Martin Scorsese, then Bringing Out the Dead (1999) and After Hours (1985) are two of his cult classics.

Bonnie and Clyde (1967) is another great movie. You've probably seen it already.

Cul-De-Sac (1966) is one of Polanski's earlier films, an interesting dark comedy.

Plus, since it's October and Halloween Season...

Jacob's Ladder (1990)
Sisters (1973)
Possession (1981)
Evil Dead (2013), Remake
High Tension (2003)
Repulsion (1965)
Prince of Darkness (1987)
The Creeping Flesh (1973)
Dark Waters (1993) a.k.a. Dead Waters (alternate title)

Hopefully, you haven't seen at least some of these movies and will enjoy them.

Re: Movies I need to see RIGHT NOW!

Oh yes, big Scorsese fan! I always wanted to watch Bonnie and Clyde but never saw it, maybe its now time for it. Thanks for your recommendations.

Re: Movies I need to see RIGHT NOW!

Cool Hand Luke
Papillion
Deliverance
Shawshank Redemption

Re: Movies I need to see RIGHT NOW!

Already seen Cool Hand Luke and ofcourse The Shawshank Redemption. I will checkout those other 2, thanks.

Re: Movies I need to see RIGHT NOW!

Dazed and Confused
Pulp Fiction
Scream 1-4
Lethal Weapon

You've probably seen all of those, but I'm just pointing out what I'VE watched recently for lack of better options.

Really, no sci-fi? Not Alien? Not Back to the Future? You're missing out on some truly great movies, man.

Re: Movies I need to see RIGHT NOW!

Seen Dazed and Confused, Pulp Fiction, but I haven't seen any Scream movie yet, not a horror fan. Lethal Weapon looks interesting.

Yep, no sci-fi. But yes I have seen Back to the Future, but with sci-fi I mean movies like Star Wars. For sure they are amazing movies but I can't *beep* watch them, don't like it at all. Same story with superhero movies.

Re: Movies I need to see RIGHT NOW!

Funny story, but I was never a horror fan myself till I watched the Scream movies. Especially the first two are not just scary movies but are also satirical, and make fun of themselves and the genre, and I found that I liked it. Might be worth a try.

Lethal Weapon (I am talking about the movies, not the new TV show, by the way) is one of my favorite action movies of all time. The films get worse as they go on, but are still pretty good, especially compared to today's action movies. I would recommend watching all four of those as well.

"We're not too old for this sh*t!" -Riggs and Murtaugh, 'Lethal Weapon 4' (1998)

I really like Mr and Miss smith, and you can also watch best movie of the year www.dailysmscollection.in it's Bollywood movie of happy new year

Re: Movies I need to see RIGHT NOW!

To go along with the current presidential race:
- "A Face in the Crowd" (1957)
- "All the King's Men" (Best Picture - 1949) (not the Sean Penn remake)

Also, since Burt Lancaster died 22 years ago today, a triple feature of intrigue:
- "Sweet Smell of Success" (1957) - where he plays a Walter Winchell-type gossip columnist who is drunk on his own power.
- "Elmer Gantry" (1960) - where he plays a phony preacher. (He and Shirley Jones -- Mrs. Partridge of "The Partridge Family" -- won Oscars.)
- "Seven Days in May" (1964) - where he plays a US Army general who plots a coup to overthrow POTUS.
