Jaco : Just wow.
Re: Just wow.
Yea. I'll never forget the first time I heard a "Weather Report" album with Jaco in the line-up.
It was "Mr Gone", and before too long, I had scoured the shelves of "J&R Music" in Manhattan for everything I could find on the guy.
Lot's of bootlegs, and "Holiday For Pans" was some sort of 'holy grail' I could never get my hands on.
I knew much of the information in the doc already, but still, it was nice having it laid out in an hour and half format.
I would say? Weather Report was a great band both before and after Jaco.
But he added his 'thing', and as a huge fan? They are my favorites.
I loved the commentary of Alphonse Johnson, a great player in his own right!

Loved this documentary. Mr. Pastorius was a true master at his art. Absolutely amazing musician and truly legendary. I knew there was a reason I was so into Weather Report's Heavy Weather. That sound. It was Jaco!
