Don't completely believe the negativity

First of all this movie isn't great by any stretch of the imagination. It starts off horribly with terrible dialogue and ridiculously unnecessary nudity. The cousin character ended up being pretty funny and badass.

But it's camp. I would normally rate this a four but since the rating is so inconsistent I rated it a five.

By inconsistent I mean that there are many other horror films that a. Either try and be camp but end up still being bad and b. Horror movies that actually try that fail worse than this did but still have at least four out of ten ratings.

If you're used to watching *beep* low budget horror that have 3 to 4 ratings on Imdb this will probably be a breath of fresh air. Hot Chick's, some funny parts especially near the end and at least tried to have a semi original plot

EDIT:/// btw I didn't find the cousin's sex jokes or race jokes funny. More of the situational comedy that happens when he meets up with his cousin.

Re: Don't completely believe the negativity

Yep, it's a bad movie, but nowhere near as bad as they make it out to be.

Re: Don't completely believe the negativity

Oh no. Its mucking horrendous

Re: Don't completely believe the negativity

It's worse. Not in a good way like The Room. Jyet boring and stupid and made without basic understanding of filmmaking techniques.

Re: Don't completely believe the negativity

A brutal rape scene is not "camp".

Re: Don't completely believe the negativity

Here's a free clue, Sport. When you give a movie a higher rating than you actually think it deserves just because you don't agree with someone else's very low rating, that makes the entire ratings system unreliable and worthless. In short, don't do it.

The worst thing that ever happened to the movies was when some pretentious twit decided they should be art.
