And yeah, I agree totally about sports making you feel old. It starts very early on. The first time I started feeling old, or at least like I've been around a while, is when you see players who you watched when they were freshman in college have full careers and retire. Cause when you're a kid and you start watching sports, it feels like everyone has always been there so you don't really think about it and retire. But when you see a guy play his entire college and pro career and then retire after a long career, that kinda makes you go "Hmm"

I think of guys like Chris Webber and Glenn Robinson, though. I saw them both play in HS when they used to have the Dapper Dan All-Star game, which at that time was the 2nd biggest HS All-Star game after the McDonalds game.

Webber has been retired from the NBA for almost a decade now after a lengthy career, and Robinson's kid is basically an NBA vet at this point. Seems crazy to me.

It's not gonna be long before everyone who retires will be younger and then some folks getting inducted to the Hall of Fame will be younger.

The Rams new coach got me a little as well. He's several years younger than me and he's a head coach, which not only makes you feel old but also kinda like a loser. He's in charge if an NFL franchise while I'm sitting on a recliner yelling at refs and eating leftover pizza. When the Bucs hired Raheem Morris, he was a bit older than me, but not at all the case with this dude.

I don't know how those guys do it. I imagine at some point you settle down and get used to it, but I can never knock the "party guys" like Seguin or when Carter/Richards were younger on the Flyers. Like, it's actually amazing to me that some players DON'T partake in that type of lifestyle at least for a little bit. I'm sure it's not that easy to keep under control.

You gotta think almost everyone is rooting for Atlanta, right? The most explosive, exciting offense in the league, a team that has never won going up against a team that has some experience in that area. Plus unlike say the Seahawks, the Falcons strike me as a team that won't be getting back to the Super Bowl anytime soon especially if Shanahan leaves.
