Jonathan Pryce (Wolf Hall, Game Of Thrones) has been cast in the role of the Bront sisters father, Patrick, in BBC Ones original one-off drama written and directed by multi BAFTA winner Sally Wainwright (Happy Valley, Last Tango In Halifax).
Emily Bront, author of the complex, ground-breaking Wuthering Heights, will be played by Chloe Pirrie (An Inspector Calls, War & Peace). She will be joined by Finn Atkins (Vera, Common) as her deeply ambitious older sister Charlotte, author of the phenomenally successful Jane Eyre, and Charlie Murphy as determined, level-headed younger sister Anne (The Last Kingdom, Happy Valley), who wrote the brutally honest novels Agnes Grey and The Tenant Of Wildfell Hall. Their brilliant but reckless brother Branwell, whose destructive behaviour threatened to destroy his family, will be played by Adam Nagaitis (Banished, Happy Valley).
