Gotham : Question about the Penguin and birds

Question about the Penguin and birds

One of the defining traits of the original character is his love of birds and his use of them in his crimes. So far this has not been shown in this tv show. However, now that his romantic attraction to the Riddler is going to end very badly for him, I wonder if this will be a way for the show to work in this aspect of his personality? He swears off love and close human attachments and starts focusing on his aviary!

Re: Question about the Penguin and birds

Yes I think the loss of being Mayor and Ed turning in him will be what sends him over the edge. Will force him to go underground, gain weight from depression and obsess over birds.

Re: Question about the Penguin and birds

I feel like most gay men would just get a cat? LOL.

I'm personally still not convinced it's going to end badly p, because I'm not convinced there's any way in he11 Ed would ever lower himself to work with people he thought of as stupid as Tabitha and Butch (especially after how easily he played Butch last time). Ed would think they're unworthy of him and have nothing to contribute. Barbara is a more believable ally, but still. I keep coming back to Ed's last worlds to Oswald being: 'you're my best friend, remember that'.

As for the penguins...I'm thinking it's gotham and so it's going to be drama queen levels of ridiculousness. Oswald will probably get shot then thrown into a penguin tank at the zoo and left for dead...then the flightless mofos will probably lick him back to life or something. Instant friendship!

Re: Question about the Penguin and birds

I feel like Nygma still cares for Penguin as a friend. He is angry by the death of Isabella so he wants to hurt him. Him working with Barbara Tabitha and Butch is a way to pin it all on them. I think that Penguin will loose everything. He will lose the Crime Families help, being Mayor and if it's found out he killed his Stepmother that might cost him the Mansion his father gave him. Though I agree that Nygma won't kill him because he is his friend after all he does to get payback.

Re: Question about the Penguin and birds

Well he does already have a his little bird cane. I'm surprised we still haven't gotten Bullock using a toothpick yet.

Re: Question about the Penguin and birds

And Gordon doesn't wear glasses and hasn't grown out his signature mustache yet, these things will happen evenually lol.
