Legion : Fox saves the genre again with Legion.

Fox saves the genre again with Legion.

Noah Hawley is my man.

Re: Fox saves the genre again with Legion.

The genre is doing fine, your talk of "saving" it makes no sense

Re: Fox saves the genre again with Legion.

Just another fangirl overreacting. The genre was doing just fine before Legion

Re: Fox saves the genre again with Legion.

Yes I hope this tv show keeps it going , I am slightly worried by ending to episode 1 it is about to revert to a far more predictable and boilerplate type scenario. But perhaps I am totally wrong.

So yeah, that's how I feel anyways

The more psychedelic the better. Hopefully it will stay cerebral throughout the entire season.

Genre was doing fine before it, and will do fine after it. And in case you forgot, this is a Marvel co-production, not all Fox.

Re: Fox saves the genre again with Legion.

The market will be saturated if all comic book adaptations stick to the same formula. Hopefully there are more shows like Legion (which Hawley intends to be as unique as possible) and Riverdale (which is too "dark" for some but nevertheless succeeds) that will push people out of their comfort zone.

Well it is.

Re: Fox saves the genre again with Legion.

Marvel has little input to the show compared with other Marvel TV programs. Just because a Marvel logo is slapped on it does not make it "Marvel".

Re: Fox saves the genre again with Legion.

But a Fox logo makes something Fox? It's a joint venture by Fox and Marvel. Unless you worked on the series, I guess you know no more than anyone else who contributed what.

Re: Fox saves the genre again with Legion.

The people who actually made the show would beg to differ. And you're (deliberately?) ignoring the fact that Fox needs Marvel's approval to make any TV shows based on Marvel properties.

Re: Fox saves the genre again with Legion.

Which comic book adaptations are sticking to the same "formula"? Please define what that formula is, exactly, because comic adaptations are a dime dozen now and have more variety than ever.

It's no use. CaptainMystique is slightly allergic to facts.

Re: Fox saves the genre again with Legion.

Are you serious? This is just a Mr Robot wannabe with more bad actors.

And I'm not saying it like it's a good thing. They took the lamest part of Mr Robot, dressed it in a Marvel label so that idiots would love it and voila. Brand new old crap.
