Re: Tired of all of this BS
Thank you for not feeding the trolls. They are simply revisionists. There are people who complain for the sake of complaining. And there are people who are not happy unless they are miserable. These people exist in my life in the real world. I do not need more of them in the online world.
1. Do not take the bait. Resist the temptation to do so.
2. Remember to use the feature.
3. Never inform the troll s/he is being ignored. Do not turn this into a contest for who gets the last word.
3. Be successful in your career and inspire the next generation of smart girls by taking them to this film. They will thank you years later down the road.

Re: Tired of all of this BS
Of course your daughters never saw this movie. It didn't exist during their formative years. But they got their inspiration from somewhere. Neither did I see this movie during my formative years and yet I became a programmer analyst. My inspiration came not from my low-educated parents but from playing with the computer equipment my school can afford to acquire. And nowhere in my post did I ever say that watching this film is a shortcut to success.

Re: Tired of all of this BS
"Black women were the reason America made it into space".I didn't take away that message from this film. For me, it was simply an inspirational film that said African American women played a significant, supporting, responsible role in our race to space.you're hyperbole is showing,
Re: Tired of all of this BS
"And if you must know, I have a degree in electrical engineering from a major University.so I'm not an idiot."
Then why are you acting like one, bashing a movie you haven't seen? You don't know what claims it makes, so how can you be annoyed by it? Why can't you understand that this is a movie based on true events it is not a documentary? Which means that generally what you see in it actually happened, but details have been changed in making it a drama.
As for Hollywood being "against white men," you do know that male actors in Hollywood tend to get paid more than women (a lot more!), and their careers are much more varied and long, right? That male producers and directors and writers and cinematographers dominate their fields, right?
You may not be an idiot, but you sure don't know much about what you're talking about!

Re: Tired of all of this BS
day after day, week after week the same mindless idiocy.
Using this movie as an example of "PC orthodoxy" is pretty much the equivalent of using "Gone With The Wind" as an example of what slavery was actually like. You couldn't have picked much worse of a movie to have a completely idiotic and knee-jerk reaction to. Because in 20 years the way race is handled in this movie will be ridiculed in much the same way that "GWTW" now is for it's depictions of slavery. And if you'd actually taken some of the endless hours you've spent spouting off so mindlessly on actually seeing the movie you might have some idea of how completely off base you've been with all your completely reactionary rants. Either see the movie itself or stop ranting. Because your ignorance of what's actually in the movie as you continue to endlessly rant so completely incorrectly makes you look like a foaming-at-the-mouth nutcase.
No man lies so boldly as the man who is indignant.

Re: Tired of all of this BS
An inspirational story is fine. But it's annoying when Hollywood makes-up stories and says it's real. Like saying black women were the reason America made it into space. Hollywood, liberals, the media.they are against white men. There's never anything good said about white men anymore. Only bad things.
And if you must know, I have a degree in electrical engineering from a major University.so I'm not an idiot.
All that you've shown with the trolling you're doing is that you are an insecure man with a big mouth and a small sexual member (and I doubt that you've ever been to college, or are an engineer.)
Re: Tired of all of this BS
The repeated comments about smallness are starting to make you sound just a bit too much like "the orange one". I think it's about time to let that go.

Re: Tired of all of this BS
Dude, these women were trailblasers and freakin awesome!! Role models is an understatement. Portrayed by great actressesIts just that, you know.Great stories dont always tranform to great movies. Only one aspect of the film failedsadly, the directing.I feel theres a huge difference between criticism against the film in regards to quality and disrespect for these cool ladies.
We Need films like this one,I didnt even know of this story.be weird if they were all masterpieces, though.

Re: Tired of all of this BS
When I saw this movie, I came away from it thinking that these women were looked down upon for the color of their skin, despite having a matching intellect to their white coworkers. The fact that they accomplished what they did was amazing, even if it was a little exaggerated at points.
If the movie was about the female figure who wrote the equivalent of ten dictionaries worth of code for the moon landing, misogynist people would probably assume the woman did all the work, when it was really just showing that she did quite a bit more than she was credited with. It's just this bad because the actors were "people of color", and racism is coming out of the woodwork lately.
Don't let the people who use movies like this to make racist remarks and advance their political views drag you down. It may not be perfect, but I'll admit that it's a damn good message, and well done in almost every aspect.

Tired of all of this BS
I guarantee that the people who say this are frustrated and ignorant.
1-In the real world things are changing. I am a woman, who has a successful career, who was help by woman and man, who works with people of many races, who thing we are equal, and when its my turn I will also help women and man of all races, who are intelligent and kind and so on and so on.
2-I am not taking from the hands of men their achievements, however as woman since ancient times we have been completed excluded from school, decision making ,politics and even now when we have babies, we put and always have put our lives in second place, so many man can be politician or astronauts or losers without consequences. As women we have 2 or 3 generations of education, man centuries.
3-I am tired of *beep* hiding behind keyboards, still trying to offend black, white, etc. women, and putting us down at any chance.
4-For them, trust me, we (intelligent woman and man) are stronger. Also we stupid ignorant white, hispanic, black, indian etc. women are understanding that even though we make 50% of the world we are the real minority.
Thank you for reading
