What started out as a joke has turned out to be a disaster!

AS a contest, it can't. A boxing match and Mayweather toys with McGregor. Any elements of MMA included then McGregor stops Mayweather very quickly. It's pointless as a contest.

As an event it will sell lots of PPVs, so it makes sense in that way.
