Painting a couple in the rain with acrylics

It was very interesting to watch this unfold as it was being painted.

She posted this topic 10 hours ago. I insulted her and then less than 4 minutes later, she gets pity.

She's nothing without me.

I found that fascinating and very soothing.

Re: Painting a couple in the rain with acrylics

He has a few of them out there, all starting with dabs of acrylic on the canvas. I enjoyed how he utilized different techniques to get the effect he was looking for. I saw beautiful cherry blossoms and the falling of the rain. When he started, I wasn't sure how he was going to turn all these dots into something so pretty and textural. He really has to have a full vision in advance.

I would love to take classes in acrylics or watercolours.

Who would have thought that a piece of squished tinfoil could produce such a great effect? I was veruy impressed with his use of common bits and pieces to produce that great picture.

Re: Painting a couple in the rain with acrylics

I've seen a few of his videos. Watching him use bits of cardboard, Q-tips, foil… it's quite clever. I'm a fan of the textural component. I was never very good at painting but this is giving me an interest in it.
