Horror : Watched "New Year's Evil" last night.

Watched "New Year's Evil" last night.

It was not what I was expecting. I thought it was going to be a slasher, but it really wasn't. It was more of a thriller. I liked the D.J. angle. Roz Kelly is from my childhood and her being the lead was offbeat and interesting. Kip Niven was a pretty creepy killer. And I always like seeing Louisa Moritz.

There wasn't much suspense and the kills were not very inventive, but the movie was a stab at something different. The scene in the elevator shaft was pretty neat and certainly different. Not bad.

Yonks ago! It wasn't something I found that impressive and pretty much took it like you already commented on.

Kip Niven is a lot of fun as the killer. He usually had smaller parts in other films he's in, so he's obviously making the most out of a rare substantial juicy role.

Yes, this is really me.

Yes, he did not hold back. The amplified voice he used on the phone was genuinely bizarre.

I'd only known him from "Magnum Force" and "Airport 1975" before.
