US States you would not mind living in?

What are they? And if Florida and California are not on your list, can you explain why you wouldn't want to live in either of those? Asking for a reason…..

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

California is full of retards

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

Hey now! 😠

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

I would say northern California but the time zone. I couldn't stand to be 3 hours behind and have to be up at 4 in the morning to prepare for the opening bell on the NYSE.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

Th÷ opening bell is 9:30am.

The President Market opens at 7:00am. But you could a variety of orders in that would let you sleep in.

They are limit orders. Stop orders. So many variations. Just getting started are ya?

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

I've got a consultant in Cali who gets up at 1am (!). He runs numbers on all the corn, beans, wheat and the currencies the yuan, nifty fifty you name it. You have to have the hunger to do all this.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

I'm leaving the USA as soon as I can.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

What country do you want to move to? I'd consider Australia.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

I’d love Cali if the state government wasn’t so fucking draconian about coronavirus restrictions.

Cheerio.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

I'm kind of glad they are still restrictive. I know I'm in the minority in this view though….

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

They’re absurdly restrictive. Florida is the opposite end to this spectrum and they pretend like there is no virus.

Cheerio.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

Yeah that's what I heard. I don't think they are still wearing masks there either.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

Any of the 50 states are okay by me, though I wouldn't be enthusiastic about living in the far northern states. Too cold.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

Yeah most of them are too cold to live in. Wouldn't mind visiting Minnesota and Maine though.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

Visiting is good.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

Hawaii is pretty sweet

Ding Dong! 🤡🌎

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

I love Hawaii too. But I'd be afraid it would be too remote to be at full-time.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

It is a bit remote but the islands have everything you want as long as you don't need to visit other states too often

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

My brother has a rental home on the Big Island and he and his wife wouldn't mind living full-time there. I probably wouldn't mind also if I had other family/friends there.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

The Big Island is the one with the active volcanoes and so house prices fluctuate massively due to new fissures appearing.

Kauai would be where I'd look to if I were wanting to live within the US

Nothing against Oʻahu or Maui but it's just a bit more peaceful and relaxing.

but the whole state is brilliant and the people there are awesome and friendly (To tourists at least!).

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

Kauai was my favorite island when I visited the main 4 of them back in '91. It's the picture perfect tropical island paradise and the prettiest place I've ever been to.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

It sure is purdy Panther

The Nā Pali coastal walk in a must see for anyone visiting, you can see waterfalls and valleys and all sorts of location you'll recognise from movies there.

If you were there in '91 you might have seen some of the original Jurassic Park movie being shot.

I remember Tropic Thunder causing quite a commotion on Kauai back in '06. I'm surprised more things aren't filmed there as it truly is otherworldly

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

I didn't hear anything about Jurassic Park film being filmed there until way after we were there. I just looked and filming started in 1992 so missed it by a year lol. Hurricane Iniki (which are rare in Hawaii) was featured in the film was also after we were there as well.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

I'm glad to hear that you didn't bump into Iniki as that was the worst hurricane to hit Hawaii I've read.

They got through Jurassic Park rather quickly then with all that CGI and the like, good for them

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

Anywhere. Anywhere has to be better than this shit hole of an island I'm on now.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

What shit hole island are you on?

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

England

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

Are you in Essex?

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

Yeah

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

lol cool

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

Georgia, South Carolina, Colorado, Massachusetts. I never minded the cold, so living in a northern state would hardly be an issue. Didn't list Florida or California because…

Florida gets too damn hot and muggy, there are too many people, and most of the people who live there are retarded. The beaches are nice but there are too many goddamn tourists crowding them usually. Georgia and South Carolina are pretty much Florida but with fewer people, and actual seasons.

California is too damn dry, there are too many people, and most of the people who live there are retarded. The beaches are pretty dope but the water is kinda cold, and, again, too many goddamn tourists crowding them.

I live. I die. I live again.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

The water is cold here. What do you think of North Carolina?

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

I am from PA and grew up in a rural area so I will only live where there's a big city.

I have never been to California, so I'm not sure how the cities are there.

However, I lived in Denver for several years and that's a trash city and Colorado sucks. It is not healthy to live in an area without a city as that is where culture and variety is.

If you don't have culture and variety you are likely to sit around drinking and eating as a form of entertainment. It will be drugs if you have a degenerate mind and aren't bothered by breaking the law.

That means you and your loved ones will likely be working some boring job in a rural type area and then coming home and killing yourself slowly after work.

I am not going out like that.

I would like in PA, New York, Boston Mass, Parts of Florida, and that's about it.

I was to Chicago once and that's a shitty town with weather that is from hell. I am amazed people live in some of these places.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

I remember Colorado being pretty when I was there a long time ago.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

I was referring to the civilization there.

The mountains are pretty, but so what?

You wake up, look at mountains, and then what?

The state is FILLED with substance abusers to the point where the average person is a retard from brain damage and they don't even know it. I am not kidding.

There huge amounts of meth because people are bored.

The suicide rate is HUGE and one of the biggest in the nation.

For suicide, it's Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah.

You go to these fucking states and it's just nothing but like a GIANT FIELD with some mountains. It sucks in the mountains too for weather, driving, and BREATHING.

The humans in many locations look desperate.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

I can't imagine wanting to commit suicide living there. But not off the land like a Native Americans or animal.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

There is literally nothing to do or see.

I moved to Denver because a relative got married, had a baby the following year, and right when his baby arrived, he was diagnosed with cancer.

I knew that would a disaster and so I moved there to help.

It's FUCKING QUIET and the people are weirdly quiet. There's by multiple mass murders in Colorado. I live close to the Aurora movie theater where the Batman movie mass murder happened. It was my favorite theater and I am lucky I didn't go because I love midnight movies.

Columbine was there. There was a Chuck E Cheese mass murder, etc.

People have no sense of humor and don't understand sarcasm. They are super conformists and stuff like that breeds either suicidal thoughts or murderous ones.

I started thinking that life wasn't really worth it out there and began thinking about why. I then looked up suicide stats and they were huge. I was like OH! I get it. The culture and environment are trash for humans.

The food culture in Denver is horrible. You will to an expensive restaurant and be served canned food…lol.

I am from the east coast and fresh homemade food is the norm. A few times I confronted people in restaurants in Denver about serving shit they did not cook. One very expense pizza place was serving frozen pizza and I get them to admit it.

Stuff like, no culture, no good food, boring limited people, and a barren static landscape, and constant substance abuse that sucks out vitality, will make you want to kill yourself.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

Fuck outta here bitch after the way you treated me last night.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

I was being serious.

You are likely a Stupid Bitch type.

You have a pattern of reading something on here that you don't understand, then won't understand, and then you dismiss and insult.

That's a classic moronic female personality.

I was being serious and not insulting.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

No it's just that I don't feel like having a long drawn out argument on here and especially with you. First you argued with me about Star Wars. Okay in that instance you assumed I was trolling you. Whatever. That's fine. I let it go after you were nice in another thread about dating pretty women.

We were alright. Then you flipped out on me about my boyfriend last night. You changed the subject to covid-19 and wanted to have some long drawn out debate…and I'm just like not going with that flow. Okay?

I'm worried about him. I might be pregnant cuz he came a lot inside of me. I felt it pumping out of him.

So your fight with me about covid-19 is irrelevant and insensitive actually.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

I would not live in Florida because of the gators, snakes, insects, and rednecks.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

But that's all part of it's charm. 😉

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

I was to Orlando a couple of times and even by the roadside, there's tons of beautiful plants and all of these harmless lizards running around.

One crawled into the palm of my hand and went to sleep!

I thought it was lovely. However, it was a clouding day when I first went, I could not feel the sun, and I got the worst sunburn of my life. So, I do not know how I would adapt to the sun down there.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

if Florida and California are not on your list, can you explain why you wouldn't want to live in either of those

I wouldn't want to live in Florida because of the heat and humidity.

I'd love to live in California esp. Northern California.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

I love Northern California.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

My brother lives there and the wildfires now constantly threaten his home. I used to dream about living there, but now I won’t because of that near constant worry.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

Yeah fires are a big problem in all parts of the state here.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

I plan to retire in Asheville, NC. It's my dream area.

I don't like deserts, swamps, or coastal areas.

Disciduous areas will all 4 seasons are nice.

Have lived in Texas my entire life, and I'm rather tired of it, but family keeps me here for now.

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

Are you near Lubbock?

Re: US States you would not mind living in?

No, fortunately. Lubbock is a wasteland.
