Zack Snyder's Justice League : There is a Kingdom - Nick Cave

There is a Kingdom - Nick Cave

This song plays when Aquaman walks down the pier with his bottle of whiskey. It doesn’t exist in the original theatrical cut. Instead, some hard rock song plays before quickly cutting to the next scene.

The original cut says “Hey look at me, I’m cool, rock-n-roll!” But this song says “lonely, isolated, as I wallow in my own pity.”

The song plays for longer than the song in the Joss Whedon version, as Aquaman walks down the pier in slow motion so viewers really absorb the emotional resonance. We feel for Aquaman.

Joss Whedon must think people are stupid. He literally cut out all the melodramatic content. He thinks superhero fans are thinking Derrr HULK SMASH

The Aquaman hymn the townsfolk chanted to worship Aquaman was a great and impactful scene. Aquaman leaving his wool sweater for the poor there so they have something warm, Cyborg’s relationship with his parents, Flash’s improved prison conversations with his father, making us almost sympathise with Steppenwolf, all great stuff. I don’t know what they were thinking.

This plays too:

Monster, how should I feel? Creatures lie here, looking through the window.
