Thrillers/Suspense : Old: M. Night Shyamalan's Newest Thriller Wraps Filming

Oscar-nominated filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan took to Twitter to reveal that production on his newest thriller film titled Old has finally wrapped in Dominican Republic. It was previously reported that the project will be a film adaptation of Pierre Oscar Levy and Frederik Peeters’ graphic novel Sandcastle. The film is still set for a July 23, 2021 release.

Old will be based on Pierre Oscar Levy and Frederik Peeters’ acclaimed graphic novel Sandcastle , which centers on a group of people who find they are unable to escape a mysterious, secluded beach as a dark secret surrounding time keeps them there after discovering a dead body. Shyamalan reportedly received the novel as a Father’s Day gift and quickly swept up the rights to it after falling in love with the story concept.
