TV General : Best Show You've Ever Watched?
Re: Best Show You've Ever Watched?
True Detective Season 1.

Re: Best Show You've Ever Watched?
The Prisoner. Last year I read the book version of The Haunting of Hill House in anticipation of watching the adaptation but learned that it was a "loose" adaptation so never watched it.
Re: Best Show You've Ever Watched?
It's far better than both the book and the original film adaptation.

Re: Best Show You've Ever Watched?
The X Files and Twin Peaks tie for first place for me, although I agree with Rocket about the first season of True Detective being more than great.
Re: Best Show You've Ever Watched?
I like the Outer Limits of the 90's.
Re: Best Show You've Ever Watched?
I saw Pirates of the Caribbean 3 in theaters around/on opening before seeing the 1st or 2nd one.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) was good, sort of something to soak in and reflect on throughout some of everyday life.
However, I have a different favorite movie I saw young and others.

suck it.

Re: Best Show You've Ever Watched?
The Walking Dead.
Re: Best Show You've Ever Watched?
Currently, I would say that position is held by a show called Justified.
I just finished watching Sopranos in it's entirety for the 4th or 5th time, and while it's an all-time great show, I feel it's legacy is greatly diminished by weak seasons at the end and the debacle over whether Tony was killed in the final scene, finally confirmed accidently by the creator this past year.
Other great shows include Battlestar Galactica, Lost, Turn: Washington's Spies, Game of Thrones, Brotherhood, and Mad Men.
What happened to the American Dream? It came true! You're lookin' at it…

Re: Best Show You've Ever Watched?
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Re: Best Show You've Ever Watched?
BSG for me, maybe because it’s the only series I’ve watched straight through ,even though I found it a bit depressing at times, when you think about it Gaius Baltar was almost the comedic relief.
