I would rather not read any books about psychotic transgender people
Yeah, I don’t get what the issue there is either. In fact, it’s a moronic point to make.
Often it’s the left bleating on about causes which creates the inequality and division in the first place.
The idea that a trans person shouldn’t be portrayed negatively seems to be creating segregation in itself.
How so? What's wrong with not portraying a traditionally disenfranchised and oppressed group of people as villains?
Really? Not the violence or systemic oppression? Talking about violence and oppression is what causes inequality and division? Yikes.
Really? Not the violence directed against the trans community? Not wanting trans people to not be portrayed as unstable villains is what's causing segregation? Not trans people being mocked, attacked, and killed?
There’s nothing wrong with a trans character being portrayed negatively - or positively. It would be extremely narrow-minded and bigoted to suggest otherwise. If Rowling made endless new novels about different trans characters all nefarious in nature then yes, you would be onto something. That is not the case though.
Complaining about one trans character being portrayed in a negative way is creating a problem that doesn’t exist.
Should villains only be heteronormative?
