Re: ChuckECheese's filed for bankruptcy

Some locations will stay open. A lot of restaurants have closed for good because of the pandemic. A lot more will close for good over the next year. Some will be saved if a bill is passed to help the restaurant industry.

Re: ChuckECheese's filed for bankruptcy

But what in areas where children parents don't have a car to drive to those select locations?

Kids will suffer!!!

Re: ChuckECheese's filed for bankruptcy

I dont quite understand why some buisness's have had to close for good simply because they wont be making any money for a while? if they are closed then yes they are not making anything but they are also not spending anything?

Re: ChuckECheese's filed for bankruptcy

The last time places were families with children can safely go for entertainment, Astroworld closed down. Parks are almost unsafe for children to play.

It's like this pandemic hates children or something.

Re: ChuckECheese's filed for bankruptcy

why are so many having to close down though? How does not MAKING money = LOOSING money? do they still have to pay all the propert bills and whatever other bills despite being forced to close for the pandemic?

Re: ChuckECheese's filed for bankruptcy

You are obviously completely clueless as to how a business operates in a capitalistic society.

Re: ChuckECheese's filed for bankruptcy

Yes, really.
If you're a steakhouse owner, you obviously can't get a refund on all those steaks you just ordered after a shutdown. Plus the land taxes, and maintenance costs such as pest control.

Re: ChuckECheese's filed for bankruptcy

And utilities, insurance, and possibly rent.

Re: ChuckECheese's filed for bankruptcy

Except the people who owned them still have bills to pay every month. It is even worse for the workers who make less then the higher ups. Whatever money you have saved is not going to last forever unless you are a millionaire.

Re: ChuckECheese's filed for bankruptcy

They still have to pay bills? that is fucked up. The government made them close, they should also fit the bills.

Re: ChuckECheese's filed for bankruptcy

Companies are responsible for paying unemployment insurance as well.
