It is admittedly more likely to produce a smirk than a belly laugh, but, as with a lot of American sitcoms, the charm offensive begets the need for an onslaught of top-tier jokes.

-Ben Allen, GQ Magazine [UK]

Ted Lasso isn't a laugh riot, nor is it something you've never seen before but the warmth radiating off of Sudeikis and the easy charms of a well-executed, feel-good sports story make it a breezy, low-effort watch that just about anyone can enjoy. 4/5

-Nick Harley, Den of Geek

I found it genuinely moving more than it was uproarious, although the climactic scene in the final episode might be one of the greatest athletic set pieces in comedy history, and will make any sports fan bust a gut. 9.3/10

-Shane Ryan, Paste Magazine

How I wish this had been better written, smarter, crisper, and that Lasso had been more of a flying asshole, as he was in the original clips.

-Camilla Long, Sunday Times (UK)

😺 Schrodinger's Cat walks into a bar, and doesn't. 🤨 Let's go, Brandon! 🤨 Try that in a small town.

Re: Ted Lasso - Season 1 reviews

The first 3 episodes were just alright, not very funny though.
